BeeYumi began long before it became a business.
How it all began…
For decades, a functional herbal honey blend was part of everyday life in our family. At the first signs of a cold, a lingering cough or an unsettled stomach, Mum would reach for raw honey infused with carefully selected medicinal herbs. It became a ritual that all four of us grew up with.
As the years passed, that tradition continued into the next generation. New ingredients were explored, recipes were refined, and what began as one family recipe slowly evolved into something much bigger.
Today, BeeYumi brings together generations of naturopathic knowledge, handcrafted food traditions and a shared belief that nourishing food should be both functional and enjoyable.
Every jar is handcrafted by our family in Tasmania, stirred over the course of a week and made with the same care that inspired the very first blend.
Meet Sabrina
Naturopath & inspiration behind BeeYumi
For more than 30 years, Sabrina has dedicated much of her life to natural health. As a naturopath, she has supported countless people through consultations, workshops, online education and health programs, always encouraging people to care for their bodies through nutrition, lifestyle and botanical medicine.
Her four children grew up in a home where food was viewed as one of the most powerful forms of everyday nourishment. Those traditions became part of family life and were quietly passed from one generation to the next. Today, BeeYumi is a continuation of that legacy.
Her love for the natural world continues to inspire the way she lives and practises naturopathy, believing that some of life's greatest nourishment can be found in the simplest places.
Meet Deborah
Naturopath & formulator
Inspired by the knowledge passed down by her mum, Deborah studied naturopathy with a curiosity to better understand the human body and how our everyday choices shape health. Becoming a mother deepened that passion even further and is ultimately her driving force. Her son is always in the background and plays a large 'behind the scenes' role in the business.
Through Deborah's other business You Truly Shine, she has written books, ebooks and hosts online education which has helped thousands of people make natural health feel practical and approachable. She brings her love of whole foods and naturopathic knowledge to BeeYumi and each formulation.
Meet Manuel
The storyteller & jack of all trades
Growing up in a family where health and nature were part of everyday life, Manuel developed a deep appreciation for wellbeing and the outdoors from an early age.
Manuel is a professional photographer, videographer, graphic designer and creative. He has worked with a wide range of brands, as well large Australian tourism campaigns, retreats and businesses specific in the health, wellness and fitness space. After years of bringing other brands to life, BeeYumi became the opportunity to build something of his own alongside his family, combining his professional skills with a lifelong love of nature and good food.
When he's not behind the camera, you'll find him exploring Tasmania, hiking or creating content simply because he loves it.
