What is BeeYumi?
BeeYumi is a range of Tasmanian Leatherwood honey blends combined with nutrient-dense superfoods; designed as a simple, everyday way to enjoy real, nourishing food.
What is an electuary?
An electuary is one of the oldest forms of herbal preparation, traditionally made by blending herbs or whole foods into honey. Honey helps protect the compounds, enhancing each ingredient as well as absorption and brings its own list of benefits. Together, the blend becomes more than the sum of its parts.
Who is this for?
BeeYumi is for anyone who enjoys real food!
Do I need to be into wellness to use this?
Not at all. You don’t need to be into wellness... you just need a spoon.
Our honey
What makes our honey different?
We use Tasmanian Leatherwood honey; a rare, single-origin honey sourced from the wild temperate rainforests of Tasmania’s West Coast. It’s naturally rich in bioactive compounds, including 4-methoxy-mandelic acid (4MMA), a compound unique to Leatherwood honey and not found anywhere else in the world. This contributes to its distinctive properties, alongside its purity and unique flavour... setting it apart from standard, processed honey.
What does cold-extracted mean?
Cold-extracted means the honey is handled gently and not exposed to high heat. Most supermarket honey is heated, filtered, and blended, which can strip away natural enzymes, aroma, and beneficial compounds. Ours is kept as close as possible to how the bees made it... raw, intact, and unaltered.
Where does your honey come from?
Our honey comes from Tasmania’s West Coast, where bees forage on native leatherwood trees growing in wild temperate rainforest environments. We work with local, experienced beekeepers who have been harvesting this honey for generations, using traditional practices that respect both the bees and the land.
Is our honey raw / unprocessed?
Our honey is raw, unprocessed, and cold-extracted.
Why didn't we use Manuka honey?
While Manuka is well known, Leatherwood honey is just as special and far less discovered. It contains its own unique bioactive compounds, including one not found in any other honey in the world. With antibacterial activity comparable to Manuka, Leatherwood offers a rare and powerful alternative, sourced from a pristine environment.
How long have our beekeepers been doing this?
We work with highly experienced local beekeepers who have been dedicated to Leatherwood honey for decades with over 40 years of beekeeping knowledge behind them. This depth of experience, along with a strong respect for the bees and the land, is what makes our honey so special.

Why combine honey with superfoods?
Honey has traditionally been used for centuries to carry and preserve other ingredients, while also helping the body absorb them. Combining it with nutrient-dense superfoods creates a blend that’s more than the sum of its parts, making it simple, effective, and easy to enjoy daily.
Do we use fillers, additives, or preservatives?
No, never! Our blends contain only the ingredients listed on the label. No fillers, no artificial additives, and no preservatives.
How do we choose our ingredients?
We choose ingredients based on quality, tradition, and how they work together. Each one is selected with intention; to complement the honey, taste good, and nourish you one spoonful at a time.
Are our ingredients organic?
Where possible, we use organic ingredients.
Are our ingredients natural and safe?
Our blends are made from real, whole food ingredients. That said, individual sensitivities can vary, so we always recommend checking the ingredient list and using your own judgement.

What's the difference between the blends?
Each blend starts with the same base of Tasmanian Leatherwood honey, but is paired with different nutrient-dense superfoods to create its own flavour, feel, and purpose. Some are more warming and spiced, others richer and more indulgent, and some lighter or more refreshing. It really comes down to your taste preference and how you like to use it.
How do I choose the right one?
Golden Immunity is a warm, spiced blend that has your back. Berry Bliss is light, fresh, and made for brighter days. Cacao Balance is rich and decadent with a grounding feel. Vanilla Beauty is smooth, subtle, and deeply nourishing. Choose based on the flavour you’re drawn to and when you’ll enjoy it most.. your morning, your wind-down, or your everyday spoon.
Can I rotate between blends?
YES, absolutely!
Can I take multiple blends at once?
Fo sure, you can enjoy more than one blend in a day. They’re food-based, so it simply comes down to your preference and how you like to use them throughout the day.
What are the teams favourites?
Honestly… we tried to answer this and couldn’t haha we genuinely love them all. It completely depends on the day, the season, or what we’re craving, so our favourites are always changing.
How to use
How do I use it?
Enjoy it straight off the spoon or add it to your favourite foods, honestly you can eat it anyway you like, it's that yumi! Drizzled over a bowl of food or freshly baked goods, mixed into your salad dressing, spread on toast, mixed into teas and drinks. You name it!
How much should I take?
A typical serving is around 1 tablespoon (15g), but you can adjust based on your needs and preference.
When should I take it?
Anytime you like, morning, afternoon, or evening. It can be part of your daily routine whenever it fits best.
Can I take it daily?
Yes, it’s designed to be a simple, nourishing addition to your everyday diet.
Can I add it to hot / cold drinks and food?
Of course! It works beautifully in both hot or cold food and drinks. You can stir it into tea or coffee, use it in baking like cakes and cookies, or even add it to slow-cooked meals. Just keep in mind that higher heat can reduce some of the natural enzymes and delicate compounds found in raw honey. It’s still delicious and nourishing either way!
Storage & shelf life
Does it need to be refrigerated?
No, it does not need to be refrigerated.
How should I store it?
Store your jar in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. A pantry or cupboard is perfect.
How long does it last?
Each jar contains 300g, with around 20 serves depending on how you use it. It really depends on how quickly you enjoy it, they never last long in our house!
What's the shelf life?
Honey doesn’t spoil. In fact, it’s been used for centuries as a natural preservative. Archaeologists have even found jars of honey in ancient Egyptian tombs over 3,000 years old, still perfectly intact. We include a batch date on each jar, but when stored well, it keeps for a very long time.
Can it go hard or crystallise?
Yes, this is completely natural and a sign of real, unprocessed honey. Raw honey naturally crystallises over time due to its natural sugars, especially in cooler temperatures or if refrigerated. It doesn’t affect the quality or benefits at all... in fact, it’s often a marker of purity. To soften it, simply place the jar in a bowl of warm (not hot) water and gently bring it back to your desired consistency.
What if the texture changes?
You may notice some natural settling of ingredients over time. Just give the jar a stir, it’s all part of using real, whole food ingredients.

Is this a supplement?
No, BeeYumi is a food product, not a supplement.
Is it high in sugar?
Yes, our blends are naturally high in sugar because they are made from honey. However, this is raw, naturally occurring sugar within a whole food, not added or processed.
What does food as medicine mean?
Food as medicine means recognising that what we eat every day matters; each bite can either support our health or work against it over time. It’s about using real, whole foods to nourish the body and build health as part of everyday life.
Does this replace a healthy diet?
No, our blends are designed to complement a healthy diet, not replace it. We believe real, whole foods and strong foundations come first, with products like BeeYumi used as a simple, nourishing addition to your daily routine.

Allergen reactions are always individual. Our products are made with natural ingredients like honey and nutrient-dense superfoods, so if you have known allergies or sensitivities, we recommend checking the ingredient list carefully before use. If you’re unsure, it’s best to consult with your healthcare practitioner.
Is it safe for kids?
According to Australian food safety guidelines, honey is not recommended for children under 12 months of age. Beyond this, it’s up to individual preference.
Is it safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Honey is generally considered safe to consume during pregnancy and breastfeeding as it is a natural food. Our blends are made from real, whole food ingredients, however if you have specific sensitivities or concerns, we recommend checking the ingredient list and speaking with your healthcare practitioner.

Where do you ship?
We currently ship Australia wide. We hope to ship worldwide in the future - so if your interested please let us know (high demand can make it happen faster!)
How long does shipping take?
We offer standard and express shipping. Estimates are calculated at checkout.
How are orders packed?
Orders are packed with care using simple, low-impact materials. We use recyclable cardboard boxes, paper-based kraft tape instead of plastic, and protective hex wrap made from brown paper to cushion each jar. Wherever possible, we’ve chosen eco-friendly alternatives to minimise waste while still ensuring your order arrives safely.
Is your packaging recyclable?
Yes, it sure is!
What if my jars arrived damaged?
If your jar arrives damaged, please email us with a photo of the product and packaging within 3 days of receiving your goods. Once we’ve reviewed it, we’ll arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate. We take great care in packing each order, but if something happens in transit, we’ll always work with you to make it right.
Can I track my order?
Yes, once your order has been shipped you’ll receive a tracking link via email so you can follow its journey. If you can’t find it or need help, feel free to reach out and we’ll gladly assist.
